Want to experience Christmas in Paris without wastin...r a smooth stay in Paris thanks to a few “local” tips.
At the crossroads of Montmartre, Opéra and the Grands Magasins, Hôtel R de Paris lets you reach several 2025 Christmas markets in just a few metro stops (or on foot).
Our favorite Christmas markets in Paris for 2025
Abbesses (Montmartre): The most picturesque. Wooden chalets with regional specialities, mulled wine and pretty lights at the foot of the Sacré-Cœur. On the way back, take a stroll along Rue des Abbesses and Rue Lepic to extend the magic.
Tuileries Garden: The largest. Ferris wheel, funfair atmosphere, and plenty of food stands right next to the Louvre and Place de la Concorde. Great at the end of the afternoon, when the lights start to come on.
Saint-Germain-des-Prés: The chicest. A refined selection (crafts, delicatessen, gift ideas) in an elegant setting. Perfect to combine with an exhibition or a gourmet break on the Left Bank.
Gare de l’Est (Alsace): The most gourmet. Alsatian market with bretzels, gingerbread and flammekueche—ideal for a quick, warm stop if you’re arriving by train.
Sortiraparis and Paris, I love you list many other markets depending on your dates and mood.

Tips for a “chic winter” stay
Visit on weekdays if possible; avoid 4–7pm at weekends. Pack a tote bag, go cashless, and keep a reusable bottle. After your walk, unwind at the Sauna-Hammam and enjoy our gourmet breakfast. For an in-room surprise, take a look at the “Christmas Magic” offer. And for more ideas around Opéra, browse our neighborhood page.
