Diving, climbing, hiking, weddings, study guidance, alcohol-free drinks: in January 2027, each of the consumer shows we have selected in Paris speaks to one particular passion. Five have dates confirmed by their organiser; the sixth, the Dry Festival, is confirmed by several media outlets, which we point out. The highlight of the month is the weekend of 16 and 17 January, when up to three shows run at the same time at Porte de Versailles.

For visitors from elsewhere in France or abroad, one of these events may be reason enough for a stay in Paris in the heart of winter. Directions to each venue from the Paris 9th arrondissement are gathered at the end of the article.

Dry Festival: alcohol-free drinks at the Carreau du Temple, 9 to 11 January

Dedicated to alcohol-free drinks, the Dry Festival takes place from Saturday 9 to Monday 11 January 2027 at the Carreau du Temple, 4 rue Eugène Spuller, in the 3rd arrondissement. These dates are confirmed by several media outlets: the organiser's website could not be read when we checked, and we found no opening hours or prices. Please check the festival's website before you set out.

Porte de Versailles, 14 to 17 January: three shows, one journey

In mid-January, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles hosts three shows with overlapping dates. All three are confirmed by their organiser.

Salon international de la plongée sous-marine (international diving show), Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 January

The Salon de la plongée takes place in hall 4 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Official opening hours: Thursday 10 am to 7 pm, Friday 10 am to 9 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 7 pm. The online ticket office has been open since 28 October 2026. With advance booking until 11 November at 11:59 pm, a one-day ticket costs €10 on Thursday, €13 on Friday, €15 on Saturday and €13 on Sunday; from 12 November, it rises to €12, €15, €18 and €15. Passes cost €24 for two days and €30 for four days in advance, then €29 and €39. Entry is free for children under 8.

Salon de l'Escalade (Paris Climbing Show), Friday 15 to Sunday 17 January

The Salon de l'Escalade takes place in hall 5.1 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Opening hours announced by the organiser: Friday 9 am to 7 pm, Saturday 9 am to 10 pm with a late-night opening, Sunday 9 am to 6 pm. The ticket office on the official website lists the options; we did not find a clearly dated 2027 full-price ticket there, so check before booking.

Le Salon du Mariage, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 January

Le Salon du Mariage takes place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles that weekend. The organiser announces free entry with an invitation to download. The opening hours and hall for this edition have not yet been published: the September 2026 edition opened from 10 am to 7 pm, so check for January.

On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 January, diving and climbing, with confirmed dates, take place at the same venue: an opportunity to visit two shows in a single day. Le Salon du Mariage joins them.

Paris Randos Nature, 22 to 24 January: hiking at the Parc Floral

Paris Randos Nature, now in its 2nd edition, takes place from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 January 2027 at the Parc Floral de Paris, route de la Pyramide, in the 12th arrondissement, in the Bois de Vincennes. Entry costs €4, on sale through the show's official ticket office. The ticket is valid for a single entry on the day chosen, and every exit is final: it is therefore best to arrive with time to see everything. Opening hours announced by the organiser: Friday 22 from 10 am to 7 pm, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 from 10 am to 6 pm.

Salon de l'Étudiant, 29 and 30 January: study guidance by invitation

For secondary school pupils, students and their families, the Salon de l'Étudiant en Île-de-France closes the month on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 January 2027, from 10 am to 6 pm, in halls 5.2 and 5.3 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Entry is free, but an invitation is compulsory and issued in your name: you register online, then show it on your smartphone or printed out.

Other guidance days are listed by an academic calendar at the Espace Champerret, in the 17th arrondissement, on Saturdays 16 and 23 January (Studyrama shows); we were unable to verify them with the organiser.

Line 12, line 3, line 1: which metro for which show

From the Hôtel R de Paris, at 41 rue de Clichy, four of the shows in this programme can be reached on a single line: line 12, boarded at Trinité-d'Estienne d'Orves, runs without a change all the way to Porte de Versailles, which is also served by tram T3a.

For the Carreau du Temple, set out from Saint-Lazare station, a 7-minute walk from the hotel, then take line 3 to Temple. For the Parc Floral, take line 12 to Concorde, then line 1 to Château de Vincennes, exit 3 (Cours des Maréchaux - Parc Floral).

Good to know on an arrival or departure day: the hotel offers luggage storage.
