When winter settles over Paris, the Jardin des Plantes becomes one of the season’s most dazzling backdrops. The 2025–2026 edition of En voie d’illumination, titled “Lights of Nature”, invites you on a night walk that blends magic with discovery: bioluminescence, fluorescence, mineral glows, celestial phenomena… Ideal with family, as a couple, or with friends, for a truly memorable winter in Paris.
Why go (and when it’s best)
- A holiday-season classic in Paris: perfect from mid-November to mid-January, when the city is already sparkling.
- Wow-factor, effortlessly: a smooth route you follow at your own pace—no fixed showtime.
- Great with kids: spectacular, yet easy to enjoy and genuinely educational.
- Our timing tip: aim for 18:00 on weekdays (quieter), or choose a later slot if you love the “Paris by night” vibe.
What you’ll see: 4 luminous worlds
The route is designed as a journey through natural environments where light exists… sometimes where you least expect it:
- Mineral lights: fluorescent minerals, UV effects and spectacular “volcanic” scenes.
- Terrestrial lights: a dreamlike forest, giant mushrooms, silhouettes and animal tracks as a guiding thread.
- Marine lights: a dive into the depths—abyssal creatures and a “bioluminescent” atmosphere.
- Celestial lights: storms, starry skies and overhead luminous phenomena for a grand finale.
