June is the month when Paris shifts into summer. Evenings grow longer, concerts take over the parks, and the cultural and music calendar reaches a level of intensity few cities in the world can match. Between the final stretch of Roland-Garros, Fête de la Musique, Solidays and a string of headline concerts in the city’s major venues, June 2026 deserves careful planning. Hôtel R de Paris, in the 9th arrondissement just steps from Saint-Lazare station, is an ideal base for exploring the whole city.

The main highlights of June 2026

Roland-Garros — until 7 June

The French Open comes to a close on Sunday 7 June 2026. The first week of June brings the semi-finals and the final — the most sought-after sessions, and also the most spectacular. For tickets, directions from the hotel and all the practical advice, see our Roland-Garros 2026 guide.

We Love Green in the Bois de Vincennes — 5, 6 and 7 June

One of Paris’s most popular spring festivals returns from 5 to 7 June 2026 in the Bois de Vincennes. We Love Green combines a strong music line-up with a genuine environmental commitment — a great reason to enjoy an early June long weekend in Paris. Tickets are available on the festival’s official website.

Fête de la Musique — 21 June

Every year on 21 June, Paris turns into one huge open-air stage. Free concerts fill the streets, squares and neighbourhoods — from jazz in the Tuileries to electronic music in Pigalle and classical performances in church courtyards. Fête de la Musique is free, ticketless and wonderfully unstructured: the idea is simply to wander. The 9th arrondissement, with its bars, squares and lively streets, is especially festive that night.

Solidays at Hippodrome de Longchamp — 26, 27 and 28 June

The Solidays festival celebrates its 28th edition from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June 2026 at the Hippodrome de Paris-Longchamp. The line-up is exceptional, with Orelsan, Gims, Bigflo & Oli, Major Lazer and Helena among the artists announced. A socially engaged festival with a major following, Solidays remains one of the most eagerly awaited music events in the Paris region. Access is via metro line 2 to Porte Dauphine.

In the hotel’s neighbourhood in June

The 9th arrondissement is especially lively in June. A few local reference points from Hôtel R de Paris:

  • Opéra Garnier (15 minutes on foot) — the final performances of the 2025-2026 season. June often brings end-of-season galas, giving the opera a particularly special atmosphere.
  • Montmartre and Pigalle, a 10-minute walk away, become even more animated in June thanks to the long evenings and Fête de la Musique on the 21st.
